Capuchin Friary

Project Scope

Ground-Up
Situated in a highly populated urban area, Rycon constructed this new friary on the grounds of three former buildings which were demolished.
Mixed-Use
The mixed-use building provides 12 one-bedroom apartments for retired friars including a private chapel on the third floor. The second floor holds two apartments and a kitchen, group living/dining areas, and a large parish hall with an accommodating kitchen. The first floor houses a food pantry, office, and a parking garage.
Craftworks USA
Rycon self-performed 35% of the work including concrete, exterior framing, shingle roofing, interior drywall/acoustic, carpentry, and casework fabrication by Rycon’s Craftworks USA.
