Project Scope

LEED Silver High-Rise
Rycon managed construction of a LEED Silver 10-story upscale student housing project on a tight urban site. Challenges included limited laydown space, adjacent buildings within one foot, and installing a 10’x100’ lagging wall.
DELTABEAM
The project was able to gain an extra floor, while still remaining under the overall restricted building height, by using DELTABEAMs and hollow core precast planks. Since the planks and beams ultimately sit flush with one another, extra ceiling space is gained, where it’s typically occupied by traditional steel I-beams.
Parking Garage
The building consists of 197 units, 489 beds, on-site covered structured parking garage with 148 spaces, a fitness center overlooking the city, an outdoor courtyard, and collaborative workspaces.
