Miami Children’s Museum Upgrades

Renovations

Since 2019, Rycon has completed interior and exterior improvements to this children’s museum.

Plaza Upgrades

Work involved entrance modifications that included a lighted canopy and walkway connecting the bus stop to the main entry. The scope featured windows and doors, updated landscaping and hardscaping with pavers, installation of a decorative seahorse fountain, and play spaces. A new prefabricated 6’x12’ guardhouse was bolted to a poured-in-place concrete slab.

Exhibits

Additional work included fast-track gallery renovations, featuring a 500 sf interactive Construction Zone exhibit with a simulated construction site and design studio, and a 1,200 sf Safety Zone exhibit.
