Dick’s Sporting Goods House of Sport Rio Mall

Project Scope

Conversion
An existing Dick’s Sporting Goods at Rio Lakefront Mall was converted into a two-story House of Sport with a rock climbing wall, indoor track, and golf simulators. The project involved demo of escalators, partitions, lighting, finishes, and ductwork. A new monumental stair, updated finishes, fixtures, and electrical modifications were added.
Pedestrian Bridge
The project included the demo and rebuild of an existing interior pedestrian bridge with structural reinforcement.
Occupied
Construction was completed while the store remained open and fully occupied, requiring coordination and strategic phasing. The work was divided into 10 phases and five subphases to maintain operations and minimize disruption. Crews were scheduled based on critical path activities and staggered throughout the day to align with store operations.
