Wood Street Financial Office Adaptive Reuse

Project Scope

Adaptive Reuse
This adaptive reuse restored the early 1900s Skinny and Roberts buildings. The 5’2”-wide Skinny Building is known as the world’s narrowest commercial building, while the Roberts Building was converted into mixed-use flex offices.
Historic Renovation
Both facades were restored with terracotta repairs, new historically-matched windows, and updated storefronts. Interiors and MEP systems were replaced, and the buildings were joined by a new egress stair, with another stair and elevator added to the Roberts Building.
Office Interiors
The Skinny Building’s ground floor was prepared for future retail fit-out while upper floors display window art. The Roberts Building features a catering kitchen and flex offices. Rycon restored marble, terrazzo, and white oak flooring throughout.
