University of Pittsburgh Chevron 11th & 12th Fl

Project Scope

Phased Renovation
Construction was done in two (2) floor-by-floor phases starting with the 11th floor. The spaces hold wet and dry labs, chemical storage, offices, microscope and radioscope rooms, a cold room, and conference areas.
Updated Labs
Work included abatement, demolition, reconfiguration to create open biological chemistry laboratories, replacement of the existing MEP and fire protection systems, programmatic renovations to support modern research, and installation of flexible lab casework and equipment.
Occupied High-Rise
Occupied surrounding areas were tightly protected using floor-to-ceiling partitions to protect against dust, noise, and fumes.
