Cumberland Community Center HRDC

Project Scope

Ground-Up
This new two-story steel-frame community center features a spray-applied air barrier on exterior walls prior to brick masonry and metal panel installation.
Commercial Kitchen
The building includes an exercise room, commercial kitchen, computer training lab, multi-purpose dining area, and offices.
LEED Gold
In addition to the landscaped second-floor terrace, the main roof features a green vegetated system with over 1,000 plant pods. Exterior sunshades reduce solar heat gain, while a geothermal heating system using a ground source heat pump relies on 12 drilled wells at the building site, each approximately 550 feet deep.
