West Bay Plaza Redevelopment

Project Scope

Redevelopment
A former 92,000 sf Kmart was demolished and reconstructed to accommodate new retail tenants.
Phased
The work took place in phases. Phase 1 and 1a work included demo, five new shell spaces, a 24,000 sf build-out of HomeSense, facade upgrades, and new parking lot. Phase 2 consisted of 9,300 sf of facade upgrades. Phase 3 included the demo of an end space with a new 24,100 sf core/shell building with associated site work. Rycon also replaced existing utilities and site work without interruption to the tenants.
Operational Continuity
Phases 1 and 2 ran concurrently and were completed in less than 17 months while the plaza remained open. Rycon further accelerated the schedule by delivering one Phase 1 shell space 45 days ahead of schedule.
