Colquitt Regional Behavioral Health Unit

Project Scope

Occupied Renovation
Rycon converted a former dialysis unit on the second floor of the hospital into a new behavioral health unit. Work was completed while adjacent areas remained occupied, requiring special coordination and strict safety measures.
Patient Rooms
The space includes 10 patient beds, four semi-private patient rooms, restrooms with showers, multipurpose and group therapy rooms, dining, offices, break room, conference room, medicine room, nurses’ station, and a visitor consultation area.
MEP Upgrades
Work involved selective demo and new construction of walls, ceilings, finishes, and fixtures, along with security, mechanical, and electrical systems integrated into the hospital’s existing infrastructure. All fixtures and finishes were anti-ligature compliant to ensure the protection of patients and staff.
