The exterior plaza at the main entrance of the historic Wanamaker Building in Center City Philadelphia received major upgrades by Rycon. The existing granite paver sidewalk, waterproofing membrane, planter area, light poles, and sculpture were all demolished while utility manholes and ventilation grates were adjusted. New work consisted of the installation of waterproofing system over existing structural slab, concrete sidewalks, stone pavers, low concrete wall with metal cover and metal structured display plaque with lights, ADA ramp, benches on the existing stone wall, lighted letters signage, bollards, and light poles. We enjoyed working with Philadelphia Center Realty Associates and Tantilo Architecture.
