Rycon built this new 350,000 sq. ft. wood-frame luxury apartment complex with a 72,000 sq. ft. integral parking garage. Community-friendly amenities include a pet wash station, courtyard with a heated saltwater pool, club room/bar, fire pit, riverfront trail access, and a fitness center. Prefabricated wall sections were manufactured in a factory to assist with expedited deliveries while maintaining dimensional tolerances, consistency, and quality control. As a brownfield development in an urban location, the structure was built on a four-acre site of a former trucking terminal and was required to follow the Act 2 process. LEED Gold Certification was achieved in part from building construction practices such as diverting more than 90% of construction waste, 25% of the materials purchased were from regional sources, and 12% of the materials were made of recycled materials. Rycon self-performed concrete work and casework including custom feature walls, reception desk, and the club room bar.
