Rycon was selected to construct two new pre-engineered metal manufacturing additions and renovate portions of the existing operational plant in phases. Phase 1 began with the construction of the two shell buildings which consisted of a single-story structural steel frame with metal panels on each exterior wall. New infrastructure for a relocated specialty gas farm was also included as well as the installment of an electrical duct bank for a new 35kv service. Phase 2 included the construction of a steel-framed building to connect the new south addition to the existing plant, a new loading dock for delivery/merchandise shipment, and the interior build-out of the north and south shell buildings. The interior work consisted of specialty chloride exhaust ductwork, new high-voltage electric service, bulk gas supply tanks, and distribution piping, dry chemical fire suppression systems, three diesel power backup generators, cooling tower, new engineering offices, and orbitally welded stainless steel piping for ultra-high purity gas supply and exhaust. Phase 3 consists of interior renovations throughout the existing operational plant inclusive of MEP requirements for new equipment used to increase quality and production efficiency as well as upgrading the comfort/working conditions for the factory employees.
