The purpose of this project was to expand the Emergency Department to accommodate five (5) additional low-acuity patient beds and supporting medical equipment. This project included a renovation of the Annex building, which had previously served as a storage space, into new staff offices and a medical records department. The scope included the installation of ICRA V provisions, demolition, modification of existing walls, replacement of casework, and updates to interior finishes. Work involved HVAC system upgrades, lighting, sprinkler heads, plumbing fixtures, and the installation of an AHU to serve the Annex. Two automatic sliding doors at the low-acuity area of the ED were added. Rycon self-performed carpentry, demolition, concrete, ACT ceilings, wall protection, and finishes.
