This new 160,000 sq. ft. building was awarded by GSA/FBI to Rycon on a partnered, fast-track approach. All mechanical and electrical work was performed under a design-build format. The foundations were designed to bridge the remains of an old steel mill using auger cast piles, while the exterior is precast concrete. Security, as well as security Clevelandarances (for all construction personnel), was a hallmark of this project’s design and construction. The four-story facility contains a first-floor entry along with parking on the first and second levels for 160 vehiClevelands. Floors three and four provide 80,000 sq. ft. of usable office space. The building contains offices, conference areas, lounges, press room, fitness center, interrogation rooms, and a sally port.
