As the construction manager, Rycon renovated 2,000 sq. ft. of laboratory space within Langley Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. Work included upgrades to the existing PI office, open lab area, and microscopy room, as well as the addition of a new tissue culture room. This room featured biosafety cabinets, incubators, a lockable door to meet BSL-2 requirements, the modification of exiting casework, ADA accessibility improvements, finish upgrades, new LED lighting, and infrastructure for OFCI equipment. We enjoyed working with the University of Pittsburgh, Renaissance 3 Architects, and engineers H.F. Lenz Company.
