Rycon was part of the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) team for the construction of this new, 82,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose building. This facility included a state-of-the-art, 1,200-seat dining facility, ﬁ ve separate national and locally branded retail concepts, test kitchen for culinary programs, technology-enriched and collaborative classrooms, ofﬁ ces, and the campus’ ﬁ rst emergency response center. The LEED Certiﬁ ed facility was conceptualized from initial vision sketches to fully operational in 14 months. BIM was also utilized. Considered one of the most successful projects on campus, the project was completed with less than 3% in change orders with all MEP systems operating to design tolerances on ﬁ rst day of operation. Rycon’s Casework & Millwork Division manufactured and shipped custom pieces throughout the space.
