The lowest of six competitive bidders, and in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act, Rycon built this new 32,000 sq. ft. life sciences building. The steel-framed two-story structure is constructed of a combination of brick and insulated metal panels on either a metal stud or CMU backup system, depending on the relationship to grade and loadbearing or shear walls. The scope included demolition of a lyceum. The building is connected to Smith Hall creating a unified Life Sciences Complex.
