Plum Borough Municipal Center

The lowest of 11 bidders, Rycon was awarded this new all-in-one government service center. The single prime project required a project labor agreement (PLA) to ensure work was done by local unions. Construction work included deep caisson foundation, grade beam foundation, foundation retaining wall, structural steel framed with slab-on-deck, TPO roofing, large format stone and brick veneer, Nichiha and composite panel veneer, bullet resistant glass, emergency generator, and IAQ clean air system. Built on a 20-acre lot around existing wetlands, the 42,500 sq. ft. building houses municipal offices, council chamber, full size gym and locker rooms, community center, qualifying gun range, and police station with holding cells, armory room, sally port, and evidence room.
