Rycon was the successful low bidder on (4) bid packages as part of the $1.57 billion terminal modernization program. This includes a new five-story multi-level parking garage with rental car parking, customer service areas, quick turnaround facilities and ready/return, and public parking spaces. The second $26.1 million package includes new surface parking with 2,700 stalls and additional site work. The large third package is the terminal interiors, and the fourth package is an airline fit-out. The work includes site grading, storm collection system modification and installation, utility (water, gas, electric, telecommunications) installation, paving, and roadway/parking lot lighting as well as excavation and backfill, bridge and roadways, deep foundations, foundation concrete, slab-on-grade concrete, superstructure concrete, post-tensioning concrete, slab-on-deck concrete, precast structural concrete, concrete masonry unit, structural steel, rough carpentry, thermal/moisture protection, openings, exterior envelope, finishes, specialties, equipment, and furnishings. There is a partnership with OSHA to encourage joint cooperation between all parties to foster a safe work environment. The contract also required an OCIP insurance policy. The parking garage was designed utilizing BIM and will be built to achieve both Parksmart Certification and LEED Certification. Rycon is self-performing concrete and carpentry installation.
