Rycon completed the fit-out of a 10,200 sf vacant shell space on the first floor at an existing historic Strip District building. Work included a new 1,700 sf mezzanine office level. The scope involved selective demolition, structural steel, concrete, new casework, ceiling systems, a storefront glazing system, specialty finishes, lighting, and modifications to MEP systems. A unique aspect of the project was preserving the existing 2×12 laminated wood floor by overlaying it with plywood and concrete leveling due to historical considerations. Construction took place alongside occupied adjacent and upper floors, requiring careful coordination to limit disruption.
