Rycon provided preconstruction and construction management services for this redevelopment of a former Sears into white boxes and a new Hobby Lobby shell. The 300,000 sq. ft. demolition work included the removal of all finishes (fixtures, walls, floor coverings, and ceilings), AHUs and associated duct work, one passenger elevator, and two escalators. The scope also consisted of the demolition of the physical plant which included two 1.5m BTU boilers and two large chillers. After the demo stage, Rycon then prepared a cold, dark shell for a new Hobby Lobby as well as white box space. The demo and construction was completed on schedule in 10 months.
