The entire lobby renovation, located within a 27-story major skyscraper in downtown Pittsburgh, was completed while the building remained fully operational. The project required approximately one (1) year of strategic planning before the actual start of construction in order to establish phasing, temporary access areas, safety protocols, and security/technical modifications. Close coordination efforts, successfully led by Rycon, were necessary in order to maintain normal daily tenant operations and occupant safety at all times. The new design called for energy efficient systems, new MEP systems, 75’ sun shades, custom security desk, and more. The scope also consisted of a coffee shop, office renovations on the 10th floor, and exterior plaza improvements.
