Rycon and Desmone Architects were the design-builders on a new, award-winning 330,000 sq. ft. multi-family development. The project consisted of 300-units spread throughout four four-story contemporary wood-frame buildings as well as subsurface parking with 25 single vehiCleveland garages. Amenities include a fitness center with yoga studio, heated saltwater pool, clubroom, and a business center with a cyber cafe. Despite the challenges of the existing site, the project was delivered on schedule in only 15 months. The scope also included the installation of an open air pedestrian bridge connecting one of the Ashby buildings to a public transit parking garage. Work included directional drilled storm piping under the PAT light rail line.
Accolades: The Ashby at South Hills Village Station won four awards at the Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh’s 2018 Apartment Excellence Awards: Best of the Best Overall Community Appeal, Best of the Best Curb Appeal, Best Multi-Story New Construction Curb Appeal, and Best Multi-Story New Construction Overall Community Appeal
