This adaptive reuse project consisted of the conversion of a former retail location into a new 46,000 sq. ft. outpatient surgery center. Delivered under a GMP format, the medical facility specializes in outpatient surgery and specialty care, and offers more than 20 specialties such as primary care, heart and vascular, and women’s health. Services include outpatient surgery with four (4) operating rooms, women’s specialty services, diagnostic imaging (X-ray, CT and, MRI), children’s express care, and many more. The roof was replaced and the existing block was painted on the rear and sides. The original entrance was expanded, while the vestibule and canopy are new. The curtainwall is a structurally glazed system and the colored metal panels are fastened to steel framing on the outside of the block building.
