This new 40,000 sq. ft. facility was designed from the ground-up by RM Creative with the help of deaf and autism experts to meet the needs of the students. All state-of-the-art classrooms are equipped with SMART Board technology, calming areas, and individual restrooms. The sensory rooms hold interactive materials such as a platform swing, fiber optics, and Sensory Magic. The second floor houses the School for Autism while the School for the Deaf is located on the third floor with a residential component. The two schools share the first floor, which features computer/media labs, special classrooms for STEAM, culinary education in a full-service kitchen, offices, conference rooms, a cafeteria and a multipurpose room for physical education. Rycon self-performed exterior framing, interior framing, drywall, and the installation of doors, frames, hardware.
