Rycon procured this project through a competitive bid process followed up by a short list bid resubmission. The scope of work included a new 6,000 sq. ft. conferencing center addition with projection screen surrounded by a multi-story glass atrium. Unique features include glue laminated beam and “lock-deck” timber wood decking. The structure consists of deep foundations (caissons and micropiles), steel framing, and glue laminated (glulam) wood structure. The 22,000 sq. ft. existing building work was phased and consisted of a renovation of three-levels including offices, food service, and new mechanical systems.
