1045 Forbes Ave Multi-Family Residential Development

Duquesne University partnered with Radnor Property Group to build a new 11-story student housing complex consisting of a partial below grade mechanical floor, amenity and residential housing at ground level, and 216 student housing units. The foundation is a cast-in-place concrete mat slab and the structure is a combination of structural steel and precast hollow core concrete planks. Inclusive of 556 beds, the multi-bedroom style student apartments will have individual bedrooms, one or two baths, common space, and kitchen. The LEED Silver building will feature amenity spaces, bicycle parking, study lounges, a fitness area, and outdoor courtyards. Rycon will strategically plan for challenges including a tight urban site with minimal laydown, coordination with other construction projects in the vicinity, utilizing a tower crane, and panelized exterior walls.
