Rycon provided CM services for this 8,700 sq. ft. renovation of existing offices and CORE lab and construction of a new genomics research laboratory consisting of eight (8) rooms. The scope included fume hoods with exhaust fans, lab casework, and new finishes. HVAC upgrades were completed to provide adequate airflow to both existing lab and new lab areas. The existing AHU was upgraded as well as up-sizing the ductwork/mechanical above an existing 24/7 active lab where patient samples were tested (including COVID sample testing) as well as throughout existing active doctor offices/ outpatient facilities. A combination of day/night/weekend shifts with phasing techniques were utilized to ensure uptime for all tenants. The work was completed using an aggressive multi-phased fast-track schedule, ICRA III containment was utilized, and work was coordinated to allow the 24-hour lab to remain fully operational during construction.
