Construction Begins on Circular Weld Building

Construction by Rycon is underway at the monopile manufacturing facility at the Port of Paulsboro Marine Terminal in Paulsboro, NJ! This 81,700 sq. ft. high-bay building’s function is the final assembly of steel monopile foundations for offshore wind turbines. The partially fabricated monopile rings will be welded together to form a single monopile. The entire building volume will be an open production factory capable of assembling two monopiles simultaneously. The 19,000 sq. ft. low-bay portion houses support function for the factory, including 6,300 sq. ft. of business offices, open cubicle workspaces, and conference rooms. We are looking forward to continuing to work with the Owner, EEW, architect, Ruggieri & Partners, and engineers, Gannett Fleming and The Harman Group, on this exciting project.
